The S&L Africa SLEX IE3 is a high-performance, flameproof cast iron electric motor specifically certified for hazardous, explosive environments in mining, oil and gas, and chemical processing. Fully certified to SANS 60079-0 and SANS 60079-1 standards by Explolabs, this robust three-phase asynchronous motor features an Ex db flameproof enclosure designed to safely contain and prevent the propagation of internal explosions. Built tough for both above-ground and underground operations, it delivers premium IE3 energy efficiency, high-quality SKF sealed bearings, a specialized Variable Speed Drive (VSD) compatible insulation system, and IP66 dust and water-tight protection. Backed by a 5-year warranty, the SLEX IE3 ranges from 0.55kW to 375kW, ensuring non-stop productivity and maximum safety in the most volatile and extreme environments across Africa.
